Fence Sitting

I usually don't like to write or talk about this particular topic because sometimes, it makes me feel like I'm a fence-sitter myself. By fence-sitting, I'm talking about religion. I'm talking about being a better person and following God.

Particularly in Utah, there are a lot of individuals who are fence-sitters with the gospel. They believe it, but they don't want to live it. They have a testimony, but it's not enough to help their faith grow during hard times. For me, I have a solid testimony of Jesus Christ. I really do strive to do my best in getting to know Him better & becoming the type of person He wants me to become. I think the reason I'm writing about this is because I see fence-sitting in myself at times, and a lot in the people I love. There are people who believe something, but don't practice what they preach. Sometimes they can come off as completely hypocritical. It's been really sad for me to watch those I love fall off the path. Through and through, I keep realizing that the times are comin!  It can be so hard to break habits, & to try to become a little better with going to church. The world is such a dark place. It's plagued with people who claim to not even know the difference between right and wrong. Pornography, anti-Christ information, selfishness, materialistic people, sexual immorality! It's EVERYWHERE.  I suppose the comforting thing in all of this is that I choose God. When people were grilling me and getting down my throat about homosexuality becoming legal, I have chosen God's side, which is, to believe marriage is between a man and a woman. I've seen people in my own family try and have God eliminated  from this country's laws and practices. The times are coming. We have got to be ready. We CAN'T sit on the fence. We're either with him or not. In the end, if we're not on God's side, we will not win.
